It is important to use our observations/knowledge of the world around us to understand and make meaning out of what we read. Thinking about your experience with the writing excursion, how much importance does your author place on how two characters in your book dress/look? How do you know this?
In my book Beastly by Alex Flinn the two characters in my book are Kyle and Kendra, Kyle dresses nice and good because of the money his dad has, he hs he good looks not ugly, gets all the girls, and he the guy that all the guys wish to be because of what he has and gets. Then theres Kendra she on the other hand dresses all dark and evil with Black and green hair and not pretty she is ugly and has not a single good look. I know this because the author explains how they look very well and gives decriptive details. Those are the two characters!
Bre, I love how you can summarize what your characters look like and act like. You clearly state that how the author describe them, and in such detail, helped you. Did you look at my mentor text (my response)? How could you show me exactly what your author wrote about how Kyle and Kendra dress? So how much importance did your author place on describing how they look?
