April,25,11 Week 4 !

After analyzing your main character in a close manner you should now be able to compare and contrast your character to the class reads main character. In a 3 paragraphs compare and contrast the two characters. Determine which one you identify the most and why ?

    As I continue to read Avalon High by Meg Cabot I am getting more and more into the book and getting to know more and more about my main character Ellie.

 My character is different from the character in our class read in many different ways, The first way is because my character is a Human and character in the class read is a Monster, Frankensteins daughter. She is also green, the color of chocolate chip mint ice cream. My character is a normal Human that has normal skin and normal parents. Frankie is way different because she has to be charged and Ellie just wakes up in the morning and shes basically charged. Ellie can wear tank tops and show the color of her skin outside of her house and in public, unlike Frankie she has to wear long turtle necks and hide everything even when its super hot outside. Thats why they are different. They are different in many ways.

    They are alike because they are both typical teenagers in High school, that both have feelings and everything. Frankie has feelings because her parents decided when they made her they wanted her to be sorta normal and have feelings but she is far away from normal , that is she different because shes 15 days old and looks like a 15 year old and has 15 years old knowledge into her head and Ellie has to qrow years and years to get 15 years of Knowledge, she didnt get it planted into her from her parents. They are also alike in some ways.

 That is how my Main Character and the main character in the class read are different and alike in many ways. They have different features and alike features.

March,18,11 Week 3 !

Understanding your character is a good way for you to get into your book and see from another persons perspective. In your response this week describe your character, think about and disscuss your main characters;

-Personality
-How they act and behave
-What they look like
-How old they are
-What sort of education do you think they have
-Who their friends and famiy are
-What their financial{Money) situation is
-And what their job is[if they have one).

      I am still continuing to read Avalon High by Meg Cabot. My main character is Tall smart nerd, yet shes a pretty girl. Since her and her family moved they still have a pool in there new house to, so she has a raft and all she does is float all day, its like she has no life. Her mom feels that way also because on page 7 it says " I didnt think that was a bad way to spend my last few weeks of summer. But my mom did. " There was a conversation between Ellie the main character and her mom on page 8 saying " Schools going to start soon , why cant I just float until then, Ellie said to her mom, " Because its not normal" Her mother would say when she asked her that. Ellie didnt really think she wasnt normal because like she would say in the book , her mom and dad are both freaks. Ellie isnt really a bad difficult kid but she can also get annoyed by her parents like mostly every teenager does and talk back.

     Ellie her looks arent that complicated, she is a tall Blondish, Light Brownish haired girl she isnt fat and she isnt skinny she isnt the perfect shape but shes close , she works out . So she has a good health. She is in high school, they dont say the grade but if shes in High school her age is probably 15,16,or even 17 [Most high schoolers are that age.) Her education ishigh school she now attends Avalon High. Her friends are Nancy her best friend back home who is the type to call you and ask you a whole bunch of questions about the boy you like. Then theres Liz and Stacy are here new friends that arent really popular and dont really go to parties , yet even get invited to parties. But their good friends to Ellie. Ellie has a family, she lives with her mom and dad which she considers as freaks, Her mom and dad are both into that Medieval warrior stuff. Which Ellie thinks is totally lame and basically know every story there is about that. Her brother Geoff is out for college. So she is basically an only child now days. Her parents are wealthy well at least it seems like it . They have enough money to buy things they want and need and to buy things that Ellie also wants and needs, they have a nice house with a pool and thats gotta count for something. They are doing good they aren't rich but yet there not poor. Ellies one and only job is school.

  In my book i am on page 173 and that is what I know about main character and how she is and all about Ellie.

Week 2 - April,4 2011 !

Review the book description found on the book cover using the information and this information done. Construct two alternate titles for the book that appeals to you. Pick one of the two titles create and advertising catch phrase and movie poster . Describe (using language that will explain what you are talking about so that we can "see" it) the movie poster to sell the newly titles novel.

The odd book that I continue to read , Avalon High By: Meg Cabot. The back of the book is a simple purple page with white lettering. I get more and more ideas on how to answer the question for the week. The cover of this book can sort of kinda grab your attention if you saw it in a store.

The Alternate titles that I decided to chosen for my book Avalon High are:
1. The Odd High ! Catch Phrase [Is it really a Normal High School?)
2.The Strange Avalon High ! Catch Phrase [ Is it really Avalon High?)
For the Alternate titles it doesn't matter which one to choose, they both fit what I have read and thought about the book so far.

If I were create a movie poster , my design would be a Gold background with a guy standing there as how he appears to be and then next to him would be a shadow of who he really is outside of the school and at home. For example one of the characters in the book is Will he is a normal person , Captain of the football team, President of his class. So the guy on the cover would be described as him and the shadow would be who how really is if hes like some medieval warrior deep down inside.The color of all that with the guy showing who he is at school would be Purple and the shadow would be black. Then the guy would be standing on the letter that says Avalon High which will be written in Pink Lettering , The shadow of the guy will be standing right next to that but on the catch phrase which will be written in Pink lettering. The guy will be carrying a royal crown in his left hand as if he was handing it to the new girl.
If I were create a movie poster for Avalon High that is how I would like it to look and all the features involved in the Movie Poster.
